Mixed Use, North London
In association with MBH Practice, we were charged to renovate and extend a much-loved, locally listed Victorian Villa that had suffered through unsympathetic extensions followed by years of neglect. The shameful result was a derelict building, with doors boarded-up and pigeons seen flying out of broken windows.
We restored and modernised the original building, demolishing the asymmetrical and unsightly extensions, replacing them with a substantial yet symmetrical and subordinate three storey (including basement) extension. This mixed use development contains over 1000m² of flexible office space and six luxury apartments within a well-conceived and designed development that positively enhances the quality and character of the conservation area in which it resides.
