We created a substantial family home by adding large extensions to the roof space and to the rear of this period semi-detached property. Our principal consideration was to maximise space and light in the new heart of the house – the family room. Our clients wanted this space for entertaining, socialising, eating family meals, eating with guests, gathering with friends and watching TV; in short, everything!

Seamlessly incorporating the rear extension, it provides a contemporary and flexible space housing the kitchen, an informal dining space, formal dining space and informal lounging space, which successfully achieves its aims.

A substantial Loft conversion was added to house the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. We restored and extended the original tiled entrance hallway. We rewired, replumbed, replastered, and redecorated the whole house, resulting in a generous, beautiful home that is sympathetic to the character of the original house and filled with natural light.
